Can I host a property I do not own?

The answer
Ownership is not the only possible arrangement, but permission matters. Leasing and hosting, managing for an owner, and co-hosting are different structures with different responsibilities. A lease, building rules, insurance terms, and local law can restrict temporary stays.
Do not assume that a landlord's informal approval overrides another restriction. Document the permitted use and each party's obligations before furnishing or marketing the property.
This answer is general education. Apply it to the property's actual location, agreements, and circumstances. Where a decision requires professional advice, use a qualified adviser.
