How do I evaluate a last-minute discount?

Published October 1, 2026 · 1 minute read

The answer

Estimate whether the additional booking adds useful contribution after cleaning and other costs, and whether your team can deliver the stay. Consider the chance of a booking at the normal rate and the calendar pattern created.

A last-minute discount should solve a defined availability problem. Avoid sacrificing readiness or accepting an impractical turnover simply to make a date appear booked.

This answer is general education. Apply it to the property's actual location, agreements, and circumstances. Where a decision requires professional advice, use a qualified adviser.
