How do I account for cleaning fees?

The answer

Treat guest cleaning charges and cleaner payments as separate lines so you can see whether turnover economics work. A fee can differ from the actual cost, and stay length changes its effect on the total guest price.

Include laundry, supplies, inspection time, and any charges you bear. Do not assume that charging a cleaning fee makes cleaning financially neutral or removes it from your operating responsibilities.

This answer is general education. Apply it to the property's actual location, agreements, and circumstances. Where a decision requires professional advice, use a qualified adviser.
