The answer
Check the metric definition, period, reservation status, adjustments, and source records. Reconcile with actual payouts or other relevant evidence. Do not silently replace the number with one that feels plausible.
Software reports can differ because they measure different things. Record unexplained discrepancies and work with support or your adviser as appropriate.
