What should I ask about a done-for-you service?
Published October 1, 2026 · 1 minute read
The answer
Ask exactly which tasks are done, by whom, under what authority, and how completion is verified. Clarify approvals, ongoing work, additional providers, and exceptions. Done-for-you is a description, not a legal or operational definition.
A service can reduce workload while leaving substantial decisions and responsibilities with you. Evaluate the written scope rather than assuming the phrase means fully passive ownership.
