Identify critical systems, likely failure effects, responsible contacts, secure fallback procedures, guest communications, and recovery checks. Include calendar, access, messaging, payments, and record availability as relevant. Test the plan with realistic scenarios and update it after incidents.
A failure plan is useful only when staff can act without guessing. Recovery should include reconciliation of missed events, not merely restarting the app.
