How do I evaluate an amenity's performance?

The answer
Compare its purchase, servicing, cleaning, downtime, and replacement costs with evidence of guest usefulness and financial contribution. Guest comments can inform usefulness but do not prove a rate premium. Avoid attributing every booking improvement to an upgrade when other conditions changed.
Track actual faults and workload. The evaluation should support a decision about maintaining, improving, or removing the feature.
This answer is general education. Apply it to the property's actual location, agreements, and circumstances. Where a decision requires professional advice, use a qualified adviser.
